Saginaw Valley State University is a public school offering both undergraduate and graduate degrees. The University is made up of 5 colleges: The College of Arts and Behavioral Sciences, The College of Business and Management, The College of Education, The Crystal M. Lange College of Health and Human Services and The College of Science Engineering and Technology. Through the many programs it offers, the University prides itself on focusing on its students needs to develop leaders that will go out and distinguish themselves by their hard work and merit. The University has an extensive athletics programs including baseball, basketball, cross country, football, track and softball. There also numerous clubs and organizations including The American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Association for Computing Machinery, Biology Club, Cardinal Formula Racing, Chemistry Club, FORTE Hip Hop Dance Club, Outdoor SVSU, Saginaw Valley Hockey Organization and many more.

Location

Saginaw Valley State University is located in Saginaw, Michigan in the American Midwest. The city is located on the Saginaw Rivers, a few miles inland from Saginaw Bay. The area enjoys 4 distinct seasons. Saginaw’s diverse neighborhoods each have something special to offer residents. The downtown area is home to the zoo, the Dow Events Center and the Temple Theater. Old Town, which is on the other side of the river, is home to many popular bars, locally owned restaurants and artistic venues. Residents here will never be short of places to visit or things to do. Saginaw is home to the Castle Museum of Saginaw County, The Anderson Enrichment Center, The Saginaw Art Museum which is an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, and the Theodore Roethke Home Museum, a National Literary Landmark.
