Northern Arizona University (NAU) is a renowned school that offers over 93 majors for undergraduates and 46 degrees for graduates through 6 different colleges on campus. NAU has been ranked 78th on “America’s Best Public Colleges” by Forbes Magazine in recognition of the excellent curriculum and outstanding faculty as well as for the affordability of it’s programs. NAU is also widely recognized for it’s research programs especially in the fields of Engineering, Forestry, and the Natural Sciences. NAU has more than 180 recognized professional, academic, service and social organizations, an intramural sports program, “The Lumberjack” student newspaper and active residence hall organizations providing students with lots of things to do. The school also participates in over 15 different NCAA Division I athletics programs.

Location

Northern Arizona University is located in the scenic and safe town of Flagstaff, approximately 3 hours from Phoenix. Flagstaff is a medium sized town and is considered the gateway to the Grand Canyon, one of the most beautiful and famous National Parks in the United States.
The city has a thriving local music and arts scene with performances continually throughout the year. Many festivals are also held during the weekends that are very popular with students.
Flagstaff sits at approximately 2200 meters elevation which allows students to enjoy 4 distinctive seasons and a mild climate offering a wealth of outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, swimming, and skiing or snowboarding in the winter.
