The College of Southern Nevada is the largest higher education institution in the state. The school has 3 main campuses and 8 academic learning centers. Students attending the college can choose from over 200 degree and certificate options, 30 of which are available online.
Students can choose to participate in the schools champion baseball or softball teams. They can also take advantage of the schools clubs including Student Government, Choir, Culinary Club, and Future Business Leader of America/Phi Beta Lambda Chapter to name just a few.
The College has some unique places that students can enjoy such as a fine arts gallery, a police academy, planetarium and a performing arts center.
The College of Southern Nevada is located in Clark County Nevada. The school is located close to the world famous Las Vegas Strip where the city never sleeps. In addition to the many attractions, there are several popular tourist attractions in the surrounding areas. Students can take a break and visit Lake Tahoe, LakeMead or Lake Mohave. They can visit the Death Valley National Monument, the Grand Canyon, Hoover Damor Zion National Park. If they feel like getting out of Vegas, students can take the 5 hour car ride or 45 minute flight to the Golden State of California.The weather in Nevada is a warm 79 degrees Fahrenheit on average, reaching up to 110 degrees in the summer months with lots of sunshine. The nearby mountains even offer skiing in the winter!
